Cambodia Village Outreaches – November’23

Hello Friends,

Thank you for visiting and seeing what we have been up to during November’23. Although we have not updated or listed the many such Trips that we have done previously.

All these photos and videos were taken during our trip to north Cambodia, where we were able and excited to help “Save lives – Save Souls!”

We distributed 2150 Family-sized  mozzie nets (1 net per family) and also enough safe water filters for all these dear families.

Even more dear people became believers in Jesus.

To all those who were ‘thinking of us’, Thank You!

Enjoy and be inspired  by what you see here.  More details are in our confidential Newsletter that we issue to our friends periodically.

Cambodia Outreach Trip – December’19

Dear Friends and Partners,

Trust you are all well and blessed. Herewith our latest Prayer Newsletter update for our valued Prayer Partners.

First and foremost, THANK YOU for praying. As always, God hears – and answers. Read on, and be amazed, and rejoice with us. Lots on the go and in the pipeline. All glory to God.

How time flies. As mentioned in the last Update, Robyn and I have booked flights to Cambodia and Vietnam, departing 4 December and coming home on 23 December. We have gone and returned. Theo has further booked flights to the same destinations for 29March to 23April’20. Teams will join with him to lend a hand. Praise God. There is much to do – “saving lives – Saving Souls!”

We are back! Mission accomplished . . . for now. PTL. Our Trip was a wonderful success, as follows . . .

Firstly, in the wake of our Trip we have a reinforced, clear “2020 Vision” for this year, and beyond. I thought God had us in ‘top gear’, but we are challenged for Him to put us into ‘overdrive’. So, “if God be for us, then who? can be against us?”. We accept.

In short, all went according to our carefully prepared, very busy itinerary. God is so good. We arrived in Phnom Pen the evening of 5th December and headed to our usual ‘guesthouse’. The next day we went with our local contact to the storage container out of the city and transferred all needed materials to our wonderful new storage close to the city. It has been provided by the President of the Cambodia Gideons, who are VERY active in Cambodia. He has shared some amazing accounts of favour wherever they operate. More on that in another Newsletter, as God is doing awesome things in Cambodia and beyond!

The following day we loaded up a van that we hired with some 300 Khmer Bbiles and drove to Pursat, some 4 hours away. There we met contacts and also a very active growing church and handed over the Bibles for them to distribute to the most needy Christians there. They were overjoyed. See pics. We then shared lunch together. We are planning to go there in future to do many Village Outreaches. We have already received many more requests for Khmer Bibles in several other locations. We are all grateful to the Lord, and a donor, for enabling us to economically buy 1000 Khmer Bibles, and helping to make all of this possible.

The next day we again loaded up the hired van with about 700 Khmer Bibles, 800 mozzie nets, water filters and Gospel Tracts, and headed up to Siem Reap, some 5 hours drive from Phnom Pen. From then on, starting the next day, and for the next 2 weeks, we went with an interpreter to many villages for Outreaches. Being Christmas time, several meetings attracted many invited, unsaved locals who then heard clear Gospel Presentations. At our Outreaches, many, many people were saved. Usually in the order of 90-100%. We saw miracles. We saw hearts touched. We saw God move on lives. And Jesus is building His Church, just like He said He would do. Amen. All of the many seeds that we have sown, over the years, will bear good fruits because God “is watching over His Word, to perform it”, and “His Word will not return to Him void without accomplishing its Purpose for which it was sent” ! What further assurance do we need that we are on a winner with God’s Word to the nations?

So after our productive time in Siem Reap we returned back to Phnom Pen – empty handed.

Here is an excerpt from our spreadsheet:

PEOPLE ATTENDING= 1000+ TRACTS = 2000

MOZZIE NETS = 830 KIDS ATTENDING= 500+

GIDEON NT BIBLES = 980 KHMER BIBLES: 1000

WATER FILTERS = 104

Vietnam Hmong Bibles, (127 Bibles, weighing 92kgs!)

The day after arriving back in Phnom Pen we headed to the airport, with double Luggage of Hmong Bibles, (127 Bibles, weighing 92kgs!) and flew to Hanoi. Yes, another miracle there when we arrived. They were checking passengers but by the time we got to checkpoints they had stopped checking, and we walked right through. God loves to surprise and bless us when we are about His #1 Task. We met up with some new contacts in Hanoi and discussed ways to help them more. We are all excited about the Audio Bible Players and how they will be used. They are also much easier and safer to carry to the people, and 1 Player can help so many people to hear God’s Word together.

As mentioned previously, another donor has connected with us and contributed some funds in order for us to buy 100 solar power audio Bible players for the many illiterate among the Hmong Tribes in the north Vietnam mountains. Illiterate and elderly, poor eyesight people, have generally been overlooked and we hope to address this need. We plan to work with local leaders who can facilitate “Audio Bible Groups” to meet regularly and listen to God’s Holy Word in their own languages. Another brother/leader in Ho Chi Min city has also asked us to help provide audio Bible Players for the Jrai and Bahnar tribes who have no Bible in their heart language. So, for early next year, and the March-April Trip, we plan to buy direct from the factories in China, several hundred solar audio players (250-300), a few thousand mozzie nets and a few hundred microfibre water filters. God has laid this on our hearts so He will surely provide. We have a wonderful recent testimony of how a very alcoholic, non-Christian man was listening to the Audio Bible Player for a few weeks. He then believed in Jesus and was INSTANTLY set free from his addictions. Oh, the power of the Word! Praise God. “Faith comes by Hearing!” We have also just set up a website which will have all of our Materials listed there for free download. We pray the Lord will use it to reach many souls to be established in the Living/Written Word forever. Amen.

We are getting many more requests from Vietnamese leaders for Hmong Bibles – about 25,000 so far……. A daunting task for Robyn and me, so, praise God, we have some teams coming to help next year onwards.

For the April Trip in 2020, the focus will be on doing “saving lives – Saving Souls!” Village Outreaches with Vietnamese church leaders from Phnom Pen, and targeting various locations in Cambodia where they have Vietnamese churches. Next we will be especially doing Vietnam border crossings, and also flying to Hanoi with teams from Europe, with lots of Hmong Bibles. Last of all Theo plans to find and try some other border areas for future crossings. So, plenty to pray about. Thank you all.

We pray that you, our dear Prayer partners will feel included and a part of what we are doing, and that God will lead you to pray according to His perfect will, as needed. He hears, and answers.

As always, we truly appreciate your fellowship in the Gospel, and your prayers and encouragements. Upon return from our trips we always report back to our valued Prayer Partners. May you all be inspired, as you will see how the Lord has used your prayers to do mighty things to accomplish His Purposes.

Again, thank you ever so much. May you and your families be greatly blessed. Always.

Bibles, mosquito nets, water filters for Battambang, Siem Reap, etc in Cambodia. Last is our trip to Vietnam with Hmong Bibles for remote mountain tribes. We also subsequently shipped Audio Bible Players there.

Below pics are new Hmong Audio Bible Groups meeting in remote mountains in north-west Vietnam where illiteracy is high. What a joy to bless them with this opportunity to hear God’s Word together.  ” . . . Faith comes by hearing . . . the Word . . . “.

March-April Cambodia Outreach Trip

Hello friends.

First and foremost, THANK YOU for praying. God heard, and answered. Read on, and be amazed, and rejoice with us. Much transpired but I will try and keep it brief. All glory to God.

On 21March’19 Brother Bao flew from Mackay, Brisbane, Singapore and landed in Phnom Pen, Cambodia. The next day we organized delivery of 1000 mosquito nets and 100 water filters from the container to the hotel for temporary storage there. They actually arrived from China only a few days before – just in time. The next day, Theo went loaded up with nets, filters, Gospel tracts and Gospel of John books, in a tuktuk, some 37 kms (about 2 hours) from Phnom Pen, to a new contact/leader in a remote village. There we shared the Gospel and issued about 50 Nets and 10 water filters. Virtually ALL the unbelievers at the Outreach prayed a sinner’s prayer to receive Jesus. What a blessing. “Saving lives – Saving Souls!” – Our Mission!

2 Days later Brother Bao hired a big van and took 1000 nets and 100 water filters and we (Khmer driver and Bao) drove to Siem Reap in the north west, some 6 hours drive from Phnom Pen, and worked in the area for over 2 weeks.

The first week was spent with a new local leader, doing many Outreaches daily and sharing the Gospel with villagers outside of Siem Reap, in the rural areas, as far away as over 2 hours away. It was so good to work with local leaders who are very much into reaching people for the Lord, and who are also establishing many village churches. Again, virtually all unbelievers who attended the Outreaches believed in Jesus. Most meetings, either in a ‘church’ or under the trees were attended by the poor local villagers as well as the community leaders. Meetings were usually about 50+ people/families and many more. Theo was also asked and able to share and encourage with a youth group and leaders in Siem Reap who are truly on-fire for Jesus.

In the first week in Siem Reap, some 500+ people became Christians. Included, there was also a lady, 100 years old, who believed. Glory. Afterwards she excitedly hobbled up and approached Theo and insisted she get a water filter to bless all her friends and neighbours with clean water, and share the Gospel. Everywhere we go we issue and equip believers with our Gospel tracts! Any spare time, and during travels, we ‘Tract-bomb’ as we go. What a buzz!
The Gospel – “The Power of God unto Salvation to them that believe”.

The second week Brother Bao worked with other new church leaders/contacts who also oversee many village churches that they have planted. Again, in most Outreaches 100% of the villagers who heard the clear Gospel Message by Bao and an interpreter, believed and were saved. In fact, the second day we had an Outreach on the outskirts of Siem Reap, in the open air, where well over 250 villagers attended, plus several community leaders (chiefs). At the invitation who wanted to believe in Jesus; have their sins forgiven and receive eternal life, 100% of the people responded immediately. That afternoon we did another Outreach in another location out of town where about 50+ families/people attended under the mango trees. The community Chief was there too. Again, EVERYONE believed, including the community Chief, who got quite excited and requested a water filter to provide safe water for his community.

Another miracle was that we needed Khmer Bibles for the new believers. We consider it vital to issue all new believers with God’s Word. But, all we had were Khmer Gospel of John books, which was wonderful. One afternoon I mentioned to a leader the need for Khmer Bibles for the new believers. He said to wait a minute while he made 1 phone call. It was 2pm. ….. 6pm we had 2000 Khmer New Testaments!
They came from another city, Battambang. And the phone number where to get more in future.
God is Amazing. He does not fool around.

During the second week’s Outreaches another 500+ people became new believers in Jesus and were saved. On the websites we will publish many photos and videos that were taken of the Outreaches. Enjoy the video of a group of poor villagers ALL praying to receive Jesus.
Go to http://wom-project.icu and to the Blog page. You are welcome to leave your message and thoughts there, and give glory to God for His Amazing Grace and Favour.

Due to the large numbers of Cambodian people who cannot read due to illiteracy and/or bad eyesight, we have issued 10 Solar Speakers with memory tfcards that contain the Khmer Audio Bible, Khmer audio Kids Bible Stories, and Khmer Gospel Songs/Music, all on mp3  tfcard.
I just got a request for another 30 Solar Audio Bible Speakers, and awaiting many more requests from other leaders who are very interested.

We issue the ‘Solar Audio Bible Speakers’ in order to set up (plant) many “Audio Bible Listening Groups” where villagers meet regularly and sit around an Audio Speaker to hear God’s Word; meet and worship together, and eat afterwards. Praise God.

Our October’18 Trip

Sept-Oct'18 Trip

We are back.  Mission accomplished - for now.  See the pics and videos for more details.

This September-October trip we distributed 1000 mosquito nets to the poor people who cannot afford protection against malaria, dengue fever, and even insects and vermin entering their beds. And we also distributed 100 'WOM' water filters to 100 families who will then commit to help about 5 or 6 other families with free safe water. What a way to economically bless so many people. Thank and praise God for making this possible for us to help so many poor people in need. Of course, the most important Gift we always share with all the people is the Gospel so people can receive a new and eternal life in Jesus. Many people responded to this Good News - even as many as 100%.  God is good.

Will you register and pray for us and then we can send you our Prayer&Praise Updates. Thank you for your interest in what our God is doing in SE Asia. Thank you.   "Saving lives - Saving Souls !"

WOM website is up and running.

child-drinking-bad-water-7000-1

We hope you will find it very informative.  Please tell many others about the website and how the WOM Project is  gearing up to help make a lasting  difference for the poor people in Cambodia and the Mekong Delta affected by disease and death from dirty drinking water.  But, the Purpose is to provide far more than clean drinking water, namely, to provide the Gospel that leads to eternal Life in Jesus. But this Task is a team effort – a partnership, which cannot be accomplished by my wife and myself only.  We know that God will faithfully provide in one of His surprise ways.  If you would like to be a part of this initiative please consider praying and partnering with us and telling others about the website. Thank you and may God bless you all.

Our next trip will be in September-October.  We will fly to China with some Goodies (Prayers needed!) and after a day or so there we will fly to Phnom Pen in Cambodia with Materials. Most of our 3+ weeks there we will be involved with several Projects and meetings with partners, as well as Tract-bombing Cambodia with the Gospel.  Many Tracts are being printed for this right now.  Tract-bombing will  be established as an ongoing Project requiring on-fire  individuals and Teams to impact Cambodia, and beyond, with the Gospel. Mega-millions of people in China were saved through Tracts-bombing ministry,  so why not Cambodia too!  Let’s DO it.  C’mon churches, young and not so young.  Register your interest with us for future trips, or we can send you on your way with one of our local contacts. Tract-bombing can be combined with Prayer walks and trips. Thank you.

Hello world!

Welcome to the WOM website blog . . .

‘LOVE” – Lately I have been thinking “Why did God create everything?” After all, He does not need anything because he is perfect. Then the Holy Spirit began to show me some things, ever so gently.  A long,  long time ago, way before time even existed, there was God. He has always existed. Now, the Bible says, and we know, that “God is Love”.  He is the highest form of Love imaginable.  I have discovered that ‘love’ is a verb. Love has a need to express itself.  It must have objects of affection to splash its love and care upon. And that is exactly what God is – Love. He existed but wants to share and express His infinite Love (Himself) on objects of His affection.  So, He first created everything.  Notice the word ‘created’.  He spoke, and it was/is. The first act and example of faith.  See Hebrews. Why did he ‘create’ everything to be good and wonderful? Love.  But for what purpose? Ah, read on. Last of all he ‘made/ fashioned’ man. (not created) We are all hand-made,  in His Image. He made us with great care and Love, so that He could have ‘objects of His love and affection’.  You see, Godly Love cannot keep to itself. It gives; it blesses; it seeks our good. Why? So that He could in return obtain Our love and have wonderful fellowship and relationship with Him in perfect harmony. It all makes sense. But, it does not stop there. You see, when we receive Jesus into our hearts and lives we are restored with God. We become ‘new creations’. (instantly)  His Nature and Person then come to dwell in us, and we are continually, increasingly, being “transformed into the Image of His Son, Jesus”,  as promised.  So then, we will begin immediately to act more and more like Him, with His Love in our lives. The outcome? It’s clever: we begin to operate like God. ‘Love’ HAS to express itself. We start to express His Love in us to all those in our lives, and in our world. We just want to bless, help, encourage, lift up. Most of all, we just want others to also know this wonderful Friend, Jesus and be restored to God through the complete and finished Work of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection. We want to help and encourage people and show them there is Hope and true Love in the world after all. We want to to help the poor and needy. And, we want to honour and bless God and love Him back with our lives and actions, and align ourselves with His Purposes. So, why do we do what we do? Easy, we just cannot help it. Love compels us to GO and express His Love in us. Question:  are we ‘believers’, content to attend church once a week, warm a pew and be entertained?  Do we just want His blessings. Is life all about ‘me’?  If yes to any of these then we’d better seriously examine our hearts and get back to basics. If we are not His channels of blessings, regularly expressing His Love  (a verb) in us,  then something is out of whack.

Will you join us?  Pray for us; and partner with us, so that we together with you can express God’s amazing Love to a needy world and make a difference to many lives, Families, communities, cities, nations.  “Love never fails”. God bless you.
