Hello friends,
Reporting an another fruitful Cambodia Village Outreaches Trip. Thank you all for your fellowship and prayers. Enjoy and be inspired by what you read and see. God bless you.
The highlight for this year has been our very recent trip to Cambodia for the month of November, and also a short break in Danang Vietnam, before returning to Cambodia to resume our work there.
As some of you may already know, Robyn (Aunty) and I continue to do regular Cambodia Village Outreaches, targetting those who have never heard the Gospel, nor even the fair Name of Jesus. We also supply these very poor Villagers with mozzie-nets and new technology water filters. In fact, these are a ‘draw-card’, so, many Villagers come along to be blessed by these gifts. (“The goodness of God leads to repentance”)
BUT, even though we literally save MANY lives from diseases and death, our primary goal is to share a wonderful, irresistible Gospel Message with them. This Message is SO appealing, that, when the people hear it they promptly choose to believe in Jesus, forsaking all other superstitions, witchcrafts, idols, etc, and follow Jesus. Hallelujah! Truly, “the Gospel is the Power of God unto Salvation, in no other Name, but the fair Name of Jesus!” Amen.
As you will see in some of the pics and videos below, you will see all the people standing up and praying a comprehensive ‘Sinner’s Prayer’ and committing their lives to Jesus, and be saved. What did “I” say for this miracle to happen? No, it’s not “me”, but the Holy Spirit doing His Thing in hearts and lives. Our wonderful translator noted that several people had tears running down their cheeks as they gave their hearts to Jesus in these Village Outreaches. All praise and Glory and Honour to our God, who has not abandoned us in these perilous end-times.
In fact, it is truly Harvest-Time in Cambodia! And it is not just rice harvest time, but thousands of souls coming to Jesus, as we witnessed. Looking around our well-to-do-western churches, I ask myself, comparatively, how can we sit on our hands when the Harvest is SO RIPE?
Some details of our adventures are as follows:
- During November we did some 17 Cambodia Village Outreaches, mostly 2 meetings per day, am and pm
- Well over 1200+ Families attended. (+ kids, etc)
- They all repeated the ‘sinner’s prayer’ and believed in Jesus.
- All the families received a quality, family-size mozzie-net.
- About one in 5 or 6 Families received a micro-fibre water filter that removes all bacteria, dirt, etc, providing safe water, which they will share with about 5 or more other Families
- All families that can read were issued with a Khmer Gideon NT Bible, and
- Those who are illiterate or have poor eyesight received a Khmer Audio Bible Player with Instruction Codes booklet.
- They all received our wonderful Khmer “You Are Special” Gospel tracts to share with many others.
- Many kids who attended also gave their hearts to Jesus and were saved.
- Many husbands (and women) work during the day, but, we know for sure that many will believe when they hear and see the goodness of God when they receive the materials
- And, Thank You all for praying and being a part of this trip.
- We rely on God and our dear prayer partners for us to function like this.
- God also provided truly wonderful leaders and translators to co-work with. They are the ones who contact Village chiefs to invite the dear Village people to the meetings. The Village chiefs love us to come, and all/most of them also believe in Jesus. One chief after a meeting offered land to build a church.
- One amazing testimony is this: our guest-house manager and dear friend asked us to also visit his Village, near his part-time cassava farm, far from Siem Reap. He contacted the Village Chief who invited the Village families. MANY dear Village people came and heard the wonderful Gospel Message for the first time. Our unsaved friend, whom we have been praying for for a long time, he did the translating. At the end he read and recited the ‘Sinner’s Prayer’ for the people to repeat after him. When done I asked him, did you also really mean that Prayer? to which he replied “YES!” All Glory to God. We are so excited. Thank You dear Jesus!
- There is so much more I could share, but, let the photos and online videos speak for themselves and tell the story: the Story of God’s Goodness, Unfailing Love, and Amazing Grace, that brings all people to the Cross, to Jesus.
- It is truly the irresistible Message of Hope and Life in Jesus that we have the great honour and privilege to share with so many who have never heard before.
- Now that we are home again, very tired but recovering, we are already preparing to conduct another Hmong Audio Bible Project for north Vietnam – the usual 600 Hmong Audio Bibles – by the turn of the year.
- Please continue to pray for us, for good health, stamina, wisdom, provision, and for God’s leading in everything. And, to continue to prepare many more hearts to receive the sovereign King of kings into their hearts and lives.
- In fact, All of south-east Asia for Jesus. Amen!
Your questions or comments are most welcome.
Thank you for praying and your fellowship in the Gospel. PTL.
